Adventure Photography

Adventure photography is shot with willing participants or hired models that can be doing anything from hiking, skiing, paddling the rapids to jumping over an ice crevasse.

Being an adventure photographer there are a lot of things to bear in mind. You must remember whatever camera equipment you want to use for your shoot; you have to carry, so remember the weight of the big lenses. Also in dusty conditions try and protect your camera as best as possible, dust is a nightmare for adventure photographers.

When working in foreign countries, you often find yourself in a tricky situation with a language barrier trying to get the perfect adventure image. Most often than not, pointing to the camera and then pointing to the person and smiling normally gets the right action.
