Lifestyle Photography is photography that captures people doing everyday things. They could be photographs of people on holiday at the beach, eating out at a fancy restaurant or simply playing golf or enjoying a stroll in a park.

Lifestyle photographs like this are used mainly for promotions and advertising purposes. They could be used for advertising lifestyle products and services such as hotels, restaurants, day spas etc.

Lifestyle photography does not always take place in a studio, a lot of the time they are fun photography shoots that are done outside and capture people in natural situations. Some families are choosing to get a photographer to capture their family in this way which is a new fresh look at the old fashioned the stiff portrait family lifestyle photo that has been around for ages.

Most photographers would prefer to take lifestyle images or animal images rather than having to take images of products for example. The photographer can also use their creativity and different angels which makes for a more interesting looking picture.
